Tungsten and Molybdenum are homologous elements, and their alloys composed of Tungsten and Molybdenum is a continuous solid solution, which belongs to the solid solution strengthened type alloys. The Tungsten-Molybdenum alloys has the common characteristics of Tungsten-Molybdenum metal, and has good high temperature stability, resistivity and machining property under the protection of vacuum or inert gas.
The Molybdenum content of Tungsten-based Molybdenum alloys is 2.5% ~ 50%(W), and that of Molybdenum-based Tungsten alloys is 10% ~ 40%(W). It has been proved by experiments that the alloys of 30% Tungsten and 70% Molybdenum has a unique corrosion resistance to liquid zinc.
